Are we getting vehicle emissions estimation right?

چکیده
Simulation is a valuable prediction tool to evaluate the impact of climate change interventions prior disruptive implementations that may yield unintended and unwanted consequences. Advances in agent-based simulation allow us estimate dynamic emissions produced by vehicles at fine resolution, with each vehicle modelled individually. The scalability these models decision-makers large-scale scenarios. But how good are models? In this paper, authors apply state-of-the-art model Multi Agent Transport (MATSim) framework simulate individual emissions. results compared real driving tests, using portable measurement device on light heavy vehicle. Quantifying gap between macro-level actual emissions, paper contributes showing pollutants significantly underestimated, especially for vehicles. This confirms micro-scale studies magnifies detrimental uncorrected aggregated inform environmental policy affecting transport.

Hilar Biliary Cancer – are We Getting it Right?
Recent reviews of the management of hilar biliary cancer suggest that radical resection is the preferred treatment option. It seems true that most of the long term survivors are treated this way, but it is equally true that most patients receive palliative rather than curative treatment. Before we go too far in our advocacy of radical treatment, we need to develop methods for quantifying pallia...

متن کاملDNA Cytosine Demethylation: Are We Getting Close?
Whether 5-methylcytosine (meC) can be enzymatically removed from vertebrate DNA has been the subject of extensive study and also some controversy. Rai et al. (2008) now report that cytosine demethylation can be accomplished in a one-cell zebrafish embryo by the combined action of a cytidine deaminase and a thymine DNA glycosylase.
